The very first significant hip hop appearance in Macedonia is related with the formation of the band Chista Okolina back in 1989. From the very beginning Chista Okolina establishes itself with unique style, image and ideology. Their first release was recorded without sampler, only with rhythm machine and turntables. Launches some real old school hip hop which can attract even the listeners who aren't into hip hop at all. After years of hiatus Chista Okolina is back on track in 2013 ready to release their new album.
